SELF-SUFFICIENCY
THE ITALIAN CAMPAIGN « LEVY ON CAPITAL ROME, Dec. 17. (Received Dec. 18, at 10 p.m.) Cabinet has decreed that banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies must hand over a proportion of their capital to supply funds for self-sufficiency undertakings. It is also decreed that big banks must close 100 branches. Already 700 have been closed since the opening of the banking reform campaign.
