AMENDMENT TO AWARD- ; : In an order/ amending the Otago and Southland Brewers, Bottlers and Bottle-washers' Award, the. Arbitration Court has ruled: that the following weekly rates of wages. for youths shall apply:— r>\-.' /" ".; ■■■■;■ \: First Year.—Under 16 years—first six months 15s, second six months ;20s; 16-17 years—2os, 255; 17-18 years, 255, 30s; 18-19 years. 32s 6d, 37s 6d; 19-20 years, 40s. 47s'6d; 20-21 years. 57s Bd, 67s 6d. ■ • M,"* Second Year.—Under 16 years—first six months 255, second six months 30s; 16-17 years, 30s, 355; 17-18 years,,3ss, 40s; 18-19 years. 42 s 6d. 50s; 19-20 years. 60s, 70s. Third Year.—Under 16 years—first six months 355, second six months 40s; 16-17 years, 40s, 455; 17-18 years. 455. 52s 6d; 18-19 years, 62s 6d, 755. , Fourth Year.—Under 16 years—first six -months 455, second six months, 5.2 s 6d; 16-17 years 52s 6d. 62s 6dr 17-18 years, 655, 755. ~ , Fifth Year.—Under 16 six months 62s Bd, second* six, months 755; 16-17 years, 75s ...:,■ The court further rules that youths shall not be employed in bottling intoxicating liquor, and that the proportion of youths to men shall not exceed one youth to every four men or fraction of the first four.
