WILDING SHIELD CONTEST EASY WIN FOR, AUCKLAND <Peb United Press Association* AUCKLAND, Dec. 18. By winning 11 matches out of 12, Auckland had no difficulty in retaining possession of the Wilding Shield against a challenge by Waikato. On the first day the Auckland players had won all four Singles and two Doubles, while yesterday they won three Singles and both Doubles. Owing to J. T. Mayson injuring his arm while cranking his motor car his place was filled by T. Pountney for the second day.
