THE GERMAN CHRISTMAS
RETURN TO PAGAN DAYS LONDON, Dec. 16. (Received Dec. 18, at 4 ( p.m.) The Daily Herald's Berlin correspondent says that Herr Hitler is celebrating Christmas Day like a festival. Organisations have been ordered to deTChristianise the ceremony, celebrating it by a feast based on the pre-Christian days of old pagan German tribes. There will be no carols or hymns, and shops are not displaying Christian emblems.
