MANIOTOTO HOSPITAL
BOARD'S MONTHLY MEETING
A meeting of the commitee of the Maniototo Hospital Board was held in Ranfurly on Monday, and was presided over by Mr T. A. Lowis.
Superintendent's Report The medical superintendent reported that there were four males and eleven females in the hospital at the date of the last return, and seven and fifteen respectivelv had been admitted during the month, making a total of 370 treated. Seven males and thirteen females were discharged during the month, leaving 17 under treatment at the end of November. Six babies were born in the hospital during the month. Advice had been received from Dr McKibbin, medical officer of health in Dunedin, staing that the hospital water supply appeared to be of normal quality.
The matron. Miss Taylor, had been appointed examiner for the State maternity examinations at Invercargill. and it was resolved that the necessary leave be granted to enable Miss Taylor to accept the position. Correspondence Advice was received from the Hospital Boards* Association to the effect that the annual conference of delegates would be held at New Plymouth on February 7.—lt was resolved that in view of the fact that the board had no matters to bring up for discussion at the conference, no delegate would be appointed. Letters were received from the Otago Hospital Board advising that two patients from the Maniototo district were admitted to Dunedin Hospital during November. Finance The secretary reported that for the month of November receipts amounted to £169 12s 3d. and that there was . a debit balance in the banking account . at the date of the meeting amounting to £359 0s 2d. Accounts and salaries amounting to £743 4s 5d were passed for payment.
