Still converging on Hankow, the Japanese right wing reports the capture of Taikang and that the centre has advanced to Sinyang, after reducing the adjacent villages. The left wing captured Kwangtsi after street fighting. The Japanese occupied key points on the north bank cf the Yellow River preparatory to crossing, but the Chinese again made a breach in the dykes and caused floods at Wenshien. . DEFENCES COLLAPSE NEW LINE FORMED HANKOW, Sept. 6. The Chinese defences along the mountain railway between Kiukiang and Nanchang have collapsed, and a new line is being formed south of Mahuiling in order to guard Teian. The press hails the ambassadorial appointment of General Yintse to Moscow as initiating permanent Rus-siah-Chinese co-operation. SHOT DOWN BY JAPANESE ANOTHER EURASIA LINER SHANGHAI, Sept. 7. (Received Sept. 8, 1.50 a.m.) Japanese planes shot down another Eurasia airliner south-west of Hankow. Only the pilot was aboard. The Japanese declare that they were not informed of the plane’s movements, therefore they were not responsible. The Eurasia Company announced that it was suspending the services indefinitely.
