THE NEW ZEALAND TEAM REQUEST FOR TEST MATCH SYDNEY, June 16. The managers of the New Zealand Rugby League team have made an official request that a test match should be played between Australia and New Zealand. The matter will be decided by the New South Wales Rugby League next week, also New Zealand’s request for an invitation to Australia in 1939, 1940, and 1941, and return visits to New Zealand in the same years. THE TEAM IN BRISBANE BRISBANE, June 16. (Received June 16, at 10.15 p.m.) The Kiwis arrived, and all had a run later, including Kay, who is making a rapid recovery from the injury he received in Sydney. The manager (Mr Redwood) expects all to be fit on Saturday. He repeated the hope fob a test against Australia, preferring July 6, instead of July 9. owing to the additional expense.
