BAND OF HOPE
The Inaugural meeting of the Band of Hope was held in the Baptin Church, Oamaru, last Saturday. , Mrs Parker, president of the local branch of the W t C.T.U., explained the aims and objects of a Band of Hope, which is a young people’s organisation connected with the W.C.T.U., and pledges were recited by those present. A number of women were in attendance, and keen interest is being shown in this effort, which has been organised by Miss M. Foss. y During the evening pianoforte solo* were rendered by Miss May Knight and Miss Ngaire Bull.
