BALCLUTHA Miniature Rifle Shooting The weekly shoot of the Balclutha Miniature Rifle Club, which was held last night, resulted in H. A meeting of the Management Committee of the South Otagip Rugby Subunion (Mr J. P. Lyell in ths chair) was held on Thursday night. The O.R.F.U. notified that a subunions’ trial match would be held at Balclutha on July 9.—lt was decided to write to South Tuapeka suggesting a match with South Otago at Balclutha on June 18, and also suggesting that West Otago and Tuapeka play on June 25, and that selectors for the sub-unions be asked to see these matches with a view to selecting a sub-unions’ team to represent the southern end. J. Muir’s transfer from Clutha to Star was approved. The secretary reported that good entries had so far been received for tha seven-a-side tournament on Monday. It was decided that the seven-stone limit be adhered to for the primary school teams. It was decided to close the Second Grade banner competition on Saturday and commence the Boyd Cup competition on Jung 11 (two rounds). The Second grade draw for the 11th is as follows: —Crescent v. Toko, at Kaitangata; Clinton v. Clutha, at Balclutha. Third Grade draw for June 11:—High School v. Toko, at Balclutha, at 1.30; Clutha v. Crescent, at Balclutha, at 1.30. .r
