APPEAL FROM SALVATION ARMY

IO nib EDITOR

Sir.—Once again we have the winter months upon us, and with them comes the need for extra clothing and warmth, especially for the little ones and those who are nearing the eventide of life. There has been a greater demand upon our income during the last three weeks from necessitous cases that have to be “tided over” a difficult time. There are the sick, who must have firing and a little extra nourishment. We are most grateful to those friends who have helped us so wonderfully during the past months; many have been cheered and encouraged. . May I ask for donations of any kind to help further our work among the ncedv and less fortunate in our midst? —I am. etc., M. Dickinson, Captain. 37 Dowling street: telephone 13-207.
