BURNT TO DEATH
THREE JAPANESE BOYS FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED VANCOUVER, May 31. Anti-Japanese sentiment is suspected in regard to the death of three Japanese boys who were trapped by fire in a Japanese tenement, which was destroyed. After the fire an investigation revealed that the water connections had been severed prior to the blaze. A white man was seen fleeing from the basement. Twenty of the occupants escaped, but a woman broke her back in her leap from an upper window.
