If only some of the leaders of the National Party could fly across to the States and inform the people there that the essentials of national prosperity are—“ private compe ition.” “ pecuniary profit incentive,” and "liberty”! Once again Capitalism is unequal to the situation. You put your finger pretty well on the spot when you say, “It is not to be forgotten, indeed, that the last slump had its origins in Wall street."
