AUSTRALIAN SOCIETY

Despite the inclemency of the weather a bright and cheery atmosphere prevailed at the Strand Salon on the evening of Saturday last, when the Australian Society held its first social evening for the season. Cards and dancing were enjoyed, as well as vocal items by Mrs N. R. Renders and Master Ken Walker. Mrs E. Clayton supplied the music for dancing, and Mr D. McKay acted as M.C. During the supper interval Mr A, A. Paape (president) .extended a welcome to several new members and visitors. Among those present were; the president (Mr A. A.
