ANNUAL MEETING •’ The annual meeting of the New Zea- i land Curling Province was held at 1 Oturehua on Saturday. 1 Of the 13 t clubs. 11 were represented at the meet- ' 1 ing. An apology for non-attendance ■* was received from the secretary of j the Naseby Club. * The retiring president (Mr Cleaton Davies) occupied the chair, and re-- 1 ferred to the loss the game had suf- > fered through the deaths of Mr A. Nel- .j son and Mr J. Armitage, and requested « members to stand in silence as a mark -■ of respect. He also thanked all those,, who had assisted him during his term s of office, and hoped curlers would have ) a successful season. . , f The following were elected to office ; for: the ensuing year:—President, Mr > D, McKillop (Ranfurly); president-» elect, Mr J. Haig (Lauder); chaplain, .■ Father Hally; secretary and treasurer, ( Mr J. McMillan. r It was decided to hold the bonsplel at Oturehua about July 16. The fol- , lowing ice masters were appointed: — . For Oturehua —Mr F. G. McKnight,. Mr C. A. Brown, and Mr W. G. Becker; for Naseby—Mr H. Wood, Mr W. An- ; derson, and Mr T. C. Hore. i. It was resolved to enforce the rule regarding the shortening of rinks on 1 drug ice, members to inform their : respective clubs regarding this matter. 5
