BRITISH SPEEDBOAT

ATTACK ON WORLD RECORD LONDON, May 25. Secretly built from designs by Mr Edward Spurr, an engineer, who was in collaboration with Lawrence of Arabia, a 16 feet speedboat, christened Empire Day, is expected to achieve a speed of 90 miles an hour. The boat will be used in an attack on the Italian world record of 70 miles an hour on Lake Windemere within three weeks.
