HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE
FRANK NEIL VAUDEVILLE The Frank Neil Vaudeville Company gave another performance of its second revue of the season in Hi. Majesty’s Theatre last evening when, as has been the case since the commencement of the season, a large house thoroughly enjoyed the fare provided. Mr Jim Gerald, the principal comedian, is, of course, a host in himself, and his whimsical drolleries keep the fun moving at a merry pace especially in such sketches as “ Wolfgang,’ ‘ The Bells,” and “Money From Home. Very little less popular than Mr Gerald is Miss Ella Shields, whose zestful presentation of several numbers wins her rounds of enthusiastic applause. Among the specialty performers are Mr Arne Hartman, a master of the piano accordion; Mr Don Galvan, who is a banjoist of much more than average ability: Mi U. S Thomson, an amazing eccentric dancer; and Petillo and Pesco, an acrobatic duo, who perform some breath-taking antics M Leon Gautier’s dogs are also responsible for a novel and enjoyable turn. The ballet, perfectly trained, presents a Series of delightful lance numbers, and among the vocalists are Miss. Lily Coburn Miss Phyllis Stedman. Mr John Fraser, and Miss Gracie Emerson, A capable orchestra. under the baton of Mr Walter Reynolds, supplies the incidental music. The programme will be presented for the last lime to-night, and on its return from Invercargill the company will give two final performes on Saturday The box plans are at the D.I.C.
