THE STATE ELECTIONS THREE SUCCESSIVE SATURDAYS BRISBANE, Feb. 25. The Premier (Mr Forgan Smith) announced that the State elections would be held on April 2. The elections in South Australia will be held on March 19. As the New South Wales elections are to be held on March 26. there will be elections in. three States on three successive Saturdays. , THE “PYJAMA GIRL” CASE NO NEARER SOLUTION SYDNEY, Feb. 25. The Daily Telegraph says investigations indicate beyond doubt that Nancye Lingg was not the pyjama girl. The Telegraph’s investigations proved that Miss Lingg booked at a Sydney hotel on July 29, 1934, and checked out on September 26 following, 25 days after the body of the pyjama girl was found. THE PORT OF SYDNEY STATISTICS FOR THE YEAR SYDNEY, Feb. 25. The annual report of the Maritime Services Board for the year ended June 30 last shows that the total volume of shipping which entered the port of Sydney reached 19,151,394 gross tons, which exceeded the previous record by more than 1,000,000 tons.
