JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS
LAW SOCIETY’S RESOLUTION ENDORSED BY ASSOCIATED CHAMBERS (Feb United Press Association) '- ' i WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. , - At a meeting of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand, endorsement was given to the following resolution, which had been carried by the New Zealand Law Society: “That the New Zealand Law Society reaffirms the principle that it is imperative in the interests of the com-,,, munity and for the maintenance of the ' high standards of the Bench, that in the making of judicial appointments only those men should be considered whoseA experience in the courts and eminence at the Bar have qualified them for judicial office.” It was decided to communicate with the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) and the Attorney-general (Mr H. G. R. Mason) on the subject.
