COURSE IN AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND OFFICER TO ATTEND (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. Lieutenant J. P. Joyce, Royal New Zealand Artillery, who is adjutant of the 2nd Field Artillery Brigade, with headquarters at Palmerston North, will attend the thirteenth Australian artillery course at Sydney from January 10 to April 9 of next year. The Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones) stated that the selection of Lieutenant Joyce was made in continuation of the Government s policy of closer co-operation with the Australian Army authorities. In view of the small number of regular artillery officers in New Zealand, i* was necessary that they should all be trained eventually for both held artillery and coast artillery work.
