COMEDY HARMONISTS

APPEARANCE IN DUNEDIN There are two sides to the Comedy Harmonists, who are to/ appear at the Town Hill on-/ Saturday evening under engagement to the National Broadcasting- Service;' They are like the lover in Shakespeare who can "sing both high and low." Their work includes some charming music by the masters, admirably presented in ensemble; but the music from which they take their name is, of course, of the lighter type. On the comedy side, in which they revel, their imitations of the effects of jazz bands, their " oompahs" of the bassoons, and their "weedle-ees" of the saxophones, their impersonations of the plucked strings, and their quacking effects of the reeds, all vocally achieved, are highly amusing. To be fully appreciated the Comedy Harmonists must be seen as well as heard The Comedy Harmonists provide an entertainment which cannot fail to live long and pleasantly in the memory, and all who attend their concert on Saturday evening will undoubtedly be assured of two hours of unflagging enjoyment. Proof of this is afforded by their triumphs at Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Of their final appearance in Wellington the Dominion said: "It was a remarkable evening, with the great audience in pleasurable affinity with the gifted Continental singers, whose vocal artistry, clever mimicry and sense of fun applied to a highly popular programme, carried all before them." Seats may be reserved at Chas. Begg and Company's.
