PURSUANT to Section 45 of "The Electric Power Boards Act. 1935, and to Section 15 of “The Act (No 2),- 1936,” PUJLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that following upon the sanction of the Local Government Loans Board on the Ist day of November, 1937,'.t0 the .borrowing of Thirty Thousand Pounds’(£3o,ooo) by a Loan to be known as the Extension Loan, 1937, a Resolution by way of Special Order was passed by the Waitaki Electric Power Board on the 17th day of November, 1937, to borrow as provided by the afore-mentioned Acts the sum of Fifteen Thousand Pounds (£15,000) for the purposes of the construction of additional transmission and distribution lines and substations and the augmenting of existing lines and substations, purchase and erection of all necessary equipment therefor and generally to exercise the Board s rights and powers as may be deemed expedient under the authority ol “ The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, and Amendments. The term of the Loan shall be twenty-five years and the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed £3 10s per centum per annum. Before raising the said Loan or any part thereof the Waitaki Electric Power Board will either make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a Sinking Fund calculated on the amount to be raised of not less than £2 10s per centum per annum or arrange for repayment by equivalent half-yearly instalments of principal extending over the term of the loan. A Special Rate of not exceeding onetenth pence in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property shall be levied by way of security but not necessarily collected. It is further publicly notified that it is the intention to confirm this Resolution at a Meeting to be held on the 15th day of December, 1937, in the Waitaki Electric Power Board’s Office.
