UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF
WORK BEFORE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL "DRIVE" IN AUCKLAND <Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 29. A start was made to-day through the Placement Office to employ 212 men under the special subsidised local bodies scheme. During the week a further 50 will be emnloyed by the Auckland City and Suburban Drainage Board. A "drive" is being made this week to induce citizens to give every unemployed man in Auckland at least one day's work before Christmas.
