MILITARY TRAINING
ACTIVITIES ON SUNDAYS PRESBYTERIANS DISAPPROVE (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 17. The Presbyterian Assembly to-night agreed to express its strong disapproval of the present policy of training territorial forces on Sundays, and instructed its Public Questions Committee to seek the co-operation of sister churches in approaching the Minister of Defence (Mr F. Jones) in regard to the matter. “ If the Government persists in forcing our young men to violate their conscience in this way,” the Rev. J. T. Macky said, “ we will be forced into the position of urging our young men to have nothing to do with the territorial forces.”
