ARRIVAL AT FREMANTLE
NEW ZEALAND CRICKETERS ENTERTAINED AT LUNCHEON (From the Special Correspondent of the United Press Association with the team.) PERTH, Oct. 26. (Received Oct. 27, at 0.45 a.m.) The New Zealand cricket team arrived at Fremantle by the Orontes. The members are fit and looking forward to the first match against South Australia. Owing to the shortness of their stay, the team will be unable to practise at Perth. Some attended a morning screening of a newsreel of the All BlacksSpringboks last test. The New Zealanders were entertained at a luncheon tendered by the Western Australian branch of the New Zealand Society. Mr B. J. Kortlang, formerly a prominent cricketer in Wellington, warmly praised the team's successes in England. Mr H. Rowe, president of the Western Australian Association and a member of the Australian Board of Control, welcomed the team to Australia. He declared that the Australian cricket authorities had the warmest ■ feeling toward New Zealand. He said that South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales would ' field their strongest possible teams against the New' Zealanders, and announced amid applause from the New Zealanders that an Australian team, including Bradman, would visit New Zealand.
