FINE OF £SO
NEGLIGENT DRIVING CASE WARNING ISSUED TO MOTORISTS (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 26. Found guilty last week of negligently driving a motor car so as to cause the death of a young motor cyclist, Christian Henry Dubi, a farmer, aged 58, was to-day fined £SO and had his driver's licence cancelled by Mr Justice Fair. . His Honor said he did not think the case called for a sentence of imprisonment. It was true that the negligence of the prisoner had contributed to the death of the cyclist, but no doubt the prisoner regretted it as much as anyone, r His Honor issued a general warning that a driver who was negligent must expect and would receive exemplary punishment.
