Sir,—When I was at school sometimes boys-who suffered from a. severe inferiority complex or who felt quite incompetent would make.a desperate bid to rehabilitate themselves in; the eyes ; of their schoolmates by saying "Hear me swear!" Thereupon they would swear volubly. , . ; Recently in our Parliament a Minister of the Crown compared Messrs Hamilton, Coates, and Holland to the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Those who were listening-in heard him speak in this way over the wireless. The Speaker of the House, made no comment; but the hearts of many New Zealanders registered a comment when they heard this bid for admiration by a Minister of the Government that professes to be Christian.—l am, etc., How Long?
