THE FREEZING INDUSTRY
APPLICATION FOR NEW AWARD WIDE DIFFERENCES IN CLAIMS (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 26. At the end of an all-day sitting in the Conciliation Council in Wellington to-day, before the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr S. Ritchie), no agreement had been reached on any important point in the application of the New Zealand Freezing Works and Related Trades Industrial Association of Workers for a new Dominion award. The claims of the employees and the counter-claims of the employers showed wide differences in almost every section. There were lengthy schedules of wage claims embracing all divisions into which the industry is divided. The council will continue its sitting to-morrow.
Advertising pays its way often many time? over. It will permit lower prices through increased volume It can reduce selling costs. Ft can lessen the time in which a product moves from factory to consumer.
