EARTH TREMORS
SEVERAL SHOCKS RECORDED SLIGHT IN INTENSITY iPer United Press Association' WELLINGTON. Oct, 25 Several earthquakes were recorded at the Dominion Observatory during the week-end, all slight in intensity. At 1.55 p.m. on Saturday there was a local shock with its centre some 70 miles from Wellington, Another occurred in the same locality at 3.47 p.m. A tremor at 2.20 a.m. on Sunday had its centre some 80 miles away, and one at 6.45 a.m. about 280 miles away. This may have been the one recorded as felt at Auckland.
