TORRENTIAL RAIN
STORM SWEEPS AUCKLAND (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND. June 23. Backed by a strong easterly wind, torrential rain, the heaviest expert, encpd for a considerable time, swept Auckland this morning. Fog was fairly general in the evening. Work on the wharf was practically at a standstill, only one vessel, the phos-. phate motor ship Myrtlebank, tinning operations.
