WRESTLING

RUMBERG TO MEET COX "King Kong" Cox was heralded when he arrived in New Zealand as a wrestler who would, provide something new in the way of mat sensations and, no matter how high the expectations may have been that were aroused by his advance publicity, he has more than fulfilled them. Cox's first effort at Dunedin showed that it would be difficult to assess too highly his capabilities for arousing excitement, and consequently he is bound to be in strong demand so long as he follows the same course. Cox will again be seen at the Dunedin Town Hall On Saturday night, when he will be pitted against Hal Rumberg, the big and powerful wrestler from Spokane, Washington. It is certain that Cox will find Rumberg as tough a proposition as he could wish to meet and the spectators, consequently, are bound to see a great match. Though. Rumberg is 6ft 3in in height and weighs nearly 17 stone he can move with the pace of men who are much lighter. His flying body scissors,, which seldom fails to produce a fall, can be used only by a man with a nimble mind and a body which immediately responds to its dictates and, for smooth-working co-ordina-tion between brain and body, Rumberg is hard to beat. Furthermore, he has what is necessary to check Cox's aggressive tendencies, as he is one of the most powerful men at present in the Dominion and can always be relied upon to keep up the pace, however hard his opponent likes to make it.
