ORPHANS' CLUB
A SOCIAL EVENING An enjoyable and successful social function was held in Victoria Hall last evening by the Dunedin Orphans' Club. Bro. Dr E. R. Harty was in the chair, and there was a large attendance, including several visitors from the North Island and one from London. Musical items and a talk by Mr H. Ninnis on broadcasting affairs, which was listened to with the closest attention, comprised the evening's programme. Items were presented by the following:—Bros. R. E. M'Dougall, A. Macdonald, J. Gordon, E. Ottrey, E. A Bolwell, R. Walls (songs), Bro. H. R. M'lsaacs (stories), Bro. M. Johnson (violin solo), and Bros. C. R. Williamson. J. W. Pringle, R. E. M'Dougall. G. H. Bridges (quarter). Under the capable direction of Bro. J. Clark, the Orphans' Club orchestra rendered several entertaining selections.
