VISIT TO AMERICA
BELGIAN PRIME MINISTER REPORTS OF MISSION DENIED NEW YORK, June 19. (Received June 20, at 6.30 p.m.) The Prime Minister of Belgium (M. Paul van Zeeland), following his arrival here, said the principal purpose of his journey was to visit President Roosevelt and to receive an honorary degree from Princeton University.
M. van Zeeland refused to comment on the reports that he will discuss with the President a mission entrusted to him by Britain and France to explore the possibility of a world economic conference.
