COMMUNITY SINGING
The ‘community sing to be held in the Strand Theatre next Friday promises to be another successful day. The members of the English Association football team have been invited to attend. The New Zealand team is also expected, and it is hoped that some of the members will be able to assist with the programme. The first 1937 sing, held last Friday, was a record day, both for the attendance and for the donations, and the committee is very grateful to all those listeners-in and those who attended for their donations. The next sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Messrs Fuller-Hay ward) at the usual time, 12.15. Mr H. P. Desmoulins, the leader, will have another good programme, and Mr Alt Pettjtt will be at the piano, Mrs MTntyre. who has charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive goods and flowers. Donations can be sent to Begg’s or to the Strand Theatre. “ Cheerios ” should be sent in as early as possible.
