STORE ENTERED
SUM OF £8 STOLEN (Per United Press Association) WHAKATANE, May 31. On Saturday night the general store of Mr William M’Cormack, of Waimana, was entered by forcing the back door. The safe was removed to a nearby paddock and was blown open with gelignite, the sum of £8 being taken. The gelignite was apparently obtained from the county council district tool depot, which was also broken into.
