BURGLARS AT WORK
.«♦ ■ GERALDINE STORE ENTERED BETWEEN £7O AND £BO STOLEN (Special to Daily Times) • TEMUKA, May 29. The second burglary this month occurred at Geraldine either late last night or in the early hours of this morning, when the grocery store of Mr W. T. Mole was entered and a sum of between £7O and £BO stolen. The cash register was opened and also a large safe from which notes, silver, and pence were abstracted. Entry was effected through the back portion of the shop. An open cheque was left untouched. The key of the large safe had been discovered in the place where it had been hidden by Mr Mole, and this leads to the suspicion that whoever entered the store had some knowledge of the premises. The police are making inquiries, but so far no arrest has oeen made.
