TOUR OF SOUTH SEAS
JAPANESE WAR COUNCILLOR REPORTS FOR THE NAVY TOKIO, May 28. (Received May 28, at 11.15 p.m.) The Nichi Nichi Shimbun reports that the Supreme War Councillor, Admiral Fujita, is making a tour of inspection of the South Seas region in June at the request of the Minister for the Navy. Other councillors, Admirals Takahashi and Suetsugu, are similarly touring China and Manchukuo. The Nichi Nichi Shimbun says the navy will use the three leaders' reports and recommendations as the basis of a policy with which to face problems which are anticipated to arise in the Pacific and the Far East, and carry out a new replenishment programme in view of the world-wide armaments, extension.
