TIMELY ASSISTANCE
AN OPERATION AT SEA (Peh United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27. The. Union Steam Ship Company's head office has received a wireless message from Captain Martin, of the Niagara, which is on her way from Auckland to Vancouver, and is due at Honolulu to-morrow, stating that the vessel made rendezvous last evening with the American, steam yacht Viking, and by request of the master placed Dr Newall, surgeon, of Melbourne, and Miss Jackson, nurse, of Bristol, England, on board to. assist with an intended' abdominal operation to a member of the staff. The Niagara- lost about two hours' steaming time, but will arrive at Honolulu on time.
