UNIVERSITY HOCKEY
ANNUAL TOURNAMENT OTAGO TO PLAY IN FINAL (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 27. The annual interuniversity hockey tournament was continued to-day in inclement weather. In the principal contest Auckland defeated Canterbury by two goals to nil after a thrilling match. Auckland scored its two goals in the last five minutes.
Otago beat Victoria by one goal to nil. The women's section was commenced to-day. Otago beat Victoria by 9 goals to 1. Auckland drew with Canterbury, 2-all. In the afternoon, Auckland beat Victoria by 5 goals to nil, and Otago beat Canterbury. 12 goals to 1. The final in the men's section will be played to-morrow between Otago and Auckland A. The winners will take the Seddon Stick, which is at present held by Victoria.
