DAVIS CUP PLAYER
NEW ZEALANDERS' EXPENSES (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27. The question of the expenses of the New Zealand Davis Cup player, D. C. Coombe, was discussed by the council of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association at its quarterly It was stated, in reply to a question by the Auckland delegate regarding the amount recoverable by the association, that the return fare to England (£148) was recoverable from the Davis Cup Fund. The financial statement showed that Coombe was also given an allowance of £2O by the Lawn Tennis Association.
