BALCLUTHA Cricket Clulha defeated Milton B on the latter’s ground on Saturday. Clulha compiled 202 for five wickets, and Milton 85, Top scorers for Clutha were L. Guest (63). T. Gold (42 retired), I. Stewart (30). D. Inglis (28 not out), P. Guest (10 not out). Currie contributed 20 to Milton's total, and Olver 14. J. Hood was Milton’s most successful bowler, and for Clutha Milne. I. Stewart, and L. Guest divided the wickets. Persona! Mr T. Lewis, veterinary surgeon to the Clutha Veterinary Association, will be absent on holiday from February 15 to March 8. Plunket Nurse M’Kay, who has been stationed at Balclutha for about 18 months, will leave on February 17 for England, where she will take up nursing duties. Her successor will be Nurse Strickland, of Dunedin. Mr Alexander Jones, of Balclutha, returned last week from a visit to Australia of about three months’ duration.
