THE MEDICAL UNIT FOR SPAIN

VO THE EDITOR Sir,—Lack of knowledge or—shall I say?—ignorance cause many to rush into print, and I have no hesitation in saying that “ Non Communist,” writing in your paper on the sth instant, can safely be included in that category. It is safe to say he is not a friend of Dr M'Millan’s, but one ever ready to stab in the back. If “ Non Communist ” will come into the open and say that the doings in Spain, as we read them, can be classed as doings of a Christian people, when we read of the ruthless slaughter of women and children, and say it is wrong to do what we can for these poor, helpless creatures, then we shall know that the writings of such an one are unworthy of notice. I fear, however, it is a direct attempt to belittle the worthy doctor in the eyes of the public. But those who know can say with truth that Dr M'Millan is a man of good works and deeds who is truly practising the Christian ethics. —I am, etc., Loyal Citizen.
