CHARGES OF THEFT

LARGE SUM INVOLVED CASE AGAINST SHAREBROKER fPEB United Press Association) ' CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 5. William Wallace M'Clelland, a sharebroker, aged 52, faced 14 charges of theft, involving £2626 8s 6d, this morning in the Magistrate's Court before Mr E. C. Lewey, S.M. Three Australian witnesses gave evidence. OThey were Detective Sergeant A. L. Nye and Detective Constable H. W. Miller, of the Criminal Investigation Branch of the New South Wales State Police, and P. H. Curtis, chief accountant for Producers and General Finance Corporation, Ltd., Sydney.
