SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. D. C. Herron, M.A., will conduct both services .at Knox Church. His. evening subject will be "They That Do Business In the Great Waters." At First Church the Rev. W. Allen Stevely's subjects will be, in the morning, "An Open Door," and in the evening "The Divine Leadership." The evening anthem will be "The Day Is Past and Over" (Marks). Dr Galway will be at the organ. . ,- The Rev. J. Ewen Simpson will conduct the services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church, speaking in the morning on "The Baptist Churches at Work," and in the evening on "The Everlasting King." A Communion service will be held at the close of the morning service. At. the averting service the choir will present the anthem, " I Am Alpha,", a duet part being taken by Mrs Voller and Miss R. Shrimpton. Miss Edith Ritchie will sing a solo. At St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church the preacher will be the Rev. Thomas Miller, whose morning subject will be "A Disappointment Transformed," and in the evening " Moody the Evangelist." At the Spiritualist Church at 6.30 Sister Mary will take for her subject "The Twenty-third Psalm," and Miss Lorraine Hoyne will sing a solo. The Healing Centre will meet on Monday at 8 o'clock. At the Theosophical Society Mrs A. J. Pollard will give the opening address for this year. Her subject will be "Building the Bridge." There will be some musical items. The Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft will conduct services at the United Congregational Church, Albany street. At 11 a.m. he will speak on "The King's Business," and in the evening his subject will be "The Autobiography of a Christian." Communion will follow the evening service. Services at the Methodist Central Mission will be conducted by the Rev. B. M. Tasker. In the morning Mr Tasker will preach on "His Temptations and Ours," and in the evening his subject will be "Leadership in a World of Leaders." Strangers to the city are especially invited to the mission's services. The Rev. Albert Mead will resume his ministry at Moray Place Congregational Church, his subject in the morning being " The Wonderful World," and in the evening "The Controlling Power." The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be administered after the morning* service and in the evening. Miss M. S. Green will sing the solo "Love Not the World" (Sullivan). The anthem will be "All in the April Evening" (Roberton^. The Rev. C. H. Olds will preach at Trinity Church in the evening, his theme being " The Self-invited Guest." The anthem will be " God that Madest Earth and Heaven." Miss M. Smith will contribute a solo. The annual covenant service will follow the usual service. In the morning student A. K. Petch will occupy the pulpit. At the Salvation Army, Adjutant and Mrs Victor Dick will speak at 11 a.m. on "Ridiculous Combinations," at 3 p.m. on " The Economics of the Kingdom of God." At 7 p.m. the subject will be "Hands." The evening service will be broadcast.. At the Greater World Christian Spiritual Mission divine service will be held at 7 p.m. The subject, chosen by the Rev, G. Brooks is " Deliverance: What Form?" Spiritual clairvoyance and an after circle will follow.
