BOY DROWNED HOME-MADE BOAT SWAMPED TPer United Press Association i GREYMOUTH, Feb. 5. Charles Hill, aged nine years, was drowned in the Grey River near the protection wall of the bay. With a boy aged eight years, he was rowing in a home-made boat, which was swamped half a chain from the shore in six feet of water. The other boy could swim. There were no eye-wit-nesses of the tragedy. The body was recovered an hour later. KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR CYCLE Daniel Clyde, a married man, aged 65 living at 49 Nelson street, South Dunedin, received head injuries when he was knocked down by a motorcycle at the corner of Helena street and Cargill road at about 5.30 p.m. yesterday, and was taket to the Hospital.
