NO DELAY

NEW BROADCASTING PLANS BUILDING TO BE ERECTED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. " We are going right ahead with the project of establishing in Wellington a great broadcasting centre and national conservatorium of music and spoken arts," said the Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) in an interview. " There will be no delay in the construction of a building to be erected on the best modern plan," the Prime Minister added, " and, in addition to meeting all the requirements for a long time to come, it will add to the architectural amenities of the Capital City. Departmental experts are now inspecting various sites in the city, but the final selection has not yet been made. The building will give ample accommodation for the broadcasting staff, in addition to the academy of music and spoken arts. With Professor Shelley, the Government believes that there is a promising field of talent in New Zealand well worth development. We are determined to provide adequate facilities and the opportunity for bringing such talent to its full expression."
