SHIPPING STRIKE
THE MAKURA’S CARGO VESSEL UNABLE TO DISCHARGE (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Being unable at San Francisco either to discharge cargo that had been shipped at Sydney and Wellington or to load there for New Zealand and Australia, the Makura left San Francisco on Wednesday for Wellington, where she is due on December 7, and Sydney with her cargo still on board, and a large quantity of mail cargo will be transferred at Sydney to the freighter Wairuna, which is to leave there about the middle of next month for San Francisco and Vancouver.
