THE WAIKATO MEETING

(Special to Dailv Times) AUCKLAND, Nov. 20. Excellent fields are carded for the opening of the Waikato Racing Club’s spring meeting at Te Rapa to-morrow, and there should be some keen contests. The win-and-place system of betting will be operated. The weather has been fine to-day, but the track may be easy after rain during the week. Horses likely to be well supported in their engagements include; Trial Stakes —Rollicker, Besiege, Young Paddon. Waimai Hurdles—Lucidus, Racewhip, Lap Up. Hautapu Hack Handicap—Lornacre.
