BOOKS STOLEN
THEFT FROM MISSIONARY THREE MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 6. A labourer, Ignatius Patrick Cormick, aged 45, appeared for sentence in the Police Court this morning on a charge of stealing two books, valued at 10s, the property of Arthur Kingi, on September 23. He was also charged with failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his release on probation at Wellington on June 20. The police said that Cormick stole the books f om a room which he had shared with a* missionary. Mi F. K. Hunt, S.M., imposed a sentence of three months' imprisonment on the theft charge, and convicted and discharged him on the second charge.
