THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was dull and threatening with cold temperatures. There was a fresh breeze from the southwest. The barometer rose throughout the day.
CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, June 18. Squally weather was experienced to-day. There was a fresh westerly wind, and several light shower* fell. Conditions were mild, and Ithe barometer remained steady at about 29.90 in. WELLINGTON, June 18. The weather to-day was brilliantly fine with a moderate to strong north-westerly wind. The minimum temperature last night was 42.0 degrees, and the maximum to-day 67.0 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, June 18. The weather to-day was sunny in the morning after five degrees of frost, and overcast in the afternoon with rain. A light south-west breeze in the morning changed to a moderate south-west wind in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 57.3 degrees. The barometer is rising steadily, and now registers 29.90 in.
