PICTURE THEATRE PRICES

TO THE EDITOR.

Sib, —Some few days ago you kindly published a letter of mine, in which I complained of the prices which are charged by some of the picture theatres on Saturday nights. The explanation offered by the management was, to my mind, not n logical one. It stated that the middle stalls seats at the theatre mentioned were all occupied by 7.15. It that were the case, how could it offer to sell mo these seats at 7.25 at the reserved price of 2s 3d. I am not making this complaint in reference to this theatre onlv. as I Lave had similar treatment at most of tho theatres, particularly on Saturday nights. I am quite willing to pay the reserved price when I have my scats kent for me. but I consider it an imposition to be charged 2s 3d for lg Cd scats at 7.25 on Saturday nights. In such cases I intend to take thc_ attitude I have always adopted and view the_ picture on a week night at the ordinary price.—l am. etc., _ Stiu, Not Bitten. Dunedin, June 17.
